"Ocean View" Unframed Lino Print
"Ocean View" Lino-print was inspired by my crossing from Plymouth to Santander last August. The sea was rolling on the way over and incredibly calm on the way back. Because of the length of the crossing, we treated ourselves, for the first time, to a cabin with a porthole. I loved it and couldn't stop watching the waves.
I came home and carved this lino, last year while trading in the beautiful Harbourside town of Porthleven, with the tide metres from my stall.
All my prints are printed using traditional linseed oil based relief printing inks and are hand burnished with a wooden spoon. This means they will vary slightly from the picture shown in areas such as the sky which may or may not have more marks from the inked-up lino. This is a natural product of the printing process and means that every print is unique and special.
The print which can be printed in black or dark blue, but suits dark blue, measures 152 x 220 mm and is printed on paper measuring 210 x 297 mm meaning that it fits comfortably within an off the shelf A4 mount or frame leaving an ample white boarder.
I often have one of these prints to hand, but if not I'll need to print you one. The ink can take up to 7 days to dry, so please take this into consideration when ordering.
The print is supplied "naked", no frame or mount. It will arrive sandwiched in brown card in a document envelope to keep it safe.
