Tea-towels

I am committed to sourcing ethical cotton wherever possible and Lorna Wiles Textiles organic unbleached tea towels are made from cotton certified by the Soil Association to the Global Organic Textile Standards for cotton that’s grown, woven and finished without the use of potentially harmful chemicals. When this cotton is unavailable I use ethically sourced unbleached cotton.

Additionally, all the tea towels are printed using a water-based non-toxic ink that doesn’t harm the environment and is washable up to 40°C, giving great durability of design and purpose without compromising the planet. The printing inks have also been approved as inputs to the Global Organic Textile Standard V3.

Cups

My fine bone china cups are screen printed locally in Cornwall.

Cushions

My cushion covers are screen printed for me on certified Fairtrade & GOTS Organic Square Cushion Covers made from 10oz heavy weight cotton and will feature an inner woven Fairtrade label.

Frames

Rather than buy-in mass produced frames I support a small framing business in Northern Ireland.

Packaging

Wherever possible I use paper or card for packaging but for my more fragile items I do need to protect them in the post so use bubble wrap. I never buy new bubble wrap but recycle from local businesses or from my own post- this is why your parcel may not always look pristine on the outside- but hopefully it'll look beautiful on the inside.

Card wraps

Where cards need wrapping due to the environment they're being sold, I use biodegradable wraps. If at all possible they are sold naked!
